A favorite for breakfast, Malaysia's famous Parota Roti Canai is the simplest and tastiest. It is basically a type of pancake made by combining wheat flour, oil, ghee, or butter, rolled into a ball and then swung in the air until it is flat and oval in shape. It is then fried on a hot iron plate and served with dhal curry, chicken or fish. There are many variations on the same theme including inserting eggs to make 'Egg Bread', sardines to make 'Sarden Bread', bananas to make 'Banana Bread' and so on.
